Isa Khan Niyazi tomb
Isa Khan Niyazi Tomb, Humayun’s Tomb Complex, Delhi, March 2010
a side pathway when you enter Humayun’s Tomb, leads to this octagonal tomb built in honor of Isa Khan Niyazi(an Afghan noble man in the court of Sher Shah Suri who fought the Mughals) viewed from the arch of an adjoining mosque. Sepia processed is an attempt to mess around with period look.
if you are on a decent bandwidth, here’s a cool Photosynth link for a virtual tour of the same:

The sepia tone was a great choice for this image! The detail on the building is amazing too!
glad you liked it David. sepia seemed appropriate to try and give it a period look.
I love the framing of this image. The arch mirrors the architecture in the tomb in the distance. Also, love the sepia tone to this (glad you played around). :) Great image! :)
Glad you liked it Katie. I’ve observed that my appreciation of a photo changes with time and moods (and in a limited way on my photo editing skills too). Revisiting and relooking old photos, I often come up with something that interests me.
Beautiful – love the way the framing echoes the shape of the roof of the tomb.
hey, thanks for dropping by and your lovely comment !
Another lovely arch-framed shot. And sepia works well here, although am also intrigued by the colour version. I’ll check out the photo synth link now …
Thanks Mufidah… here’s a blog(with pics)that i follow which has some old sepia photos that depicts how very different the city might have looked then:
