kid among the pigeons

Jama Masjid, Delhi,  Jan 2012

piegon feeding is an activity that interests kids and adults alike in the courtyard of Jama Masjid

visitors here are supposed to take their shoes off before entering the mosque area and seeing everybody(including locals) carry theirs shoes in their hands rather than leave outside, we did the same (simple maxim – when in Rome, do as the Romans do). carrying your shoes in one hand leaves just one hand to operate the camera :)

    • true. he seems curious and as you rightly said assessing the risk versus return on venturing further subconsciously.

Thanks for your comment. I am glad you dropped by and hope to see you around.

  1. I love the title of this, and great picture too, the muted colours with splashes of red and pink. Looking forward to seeing more form this trip, and hope you’re finding ways to blend in and take more candid shots!

    • Thank you Mufidah. I hope to get a lot of people , candids and portraits from the India trip as well. I can not complain about ‘clouds ruining my sunsets’ excuses here for the raw ingredients are all there in plenty :)

Hope you are enjoying working on your writing project and your work in general.

    • Thanks Nandini. Did you mean to say that you have only seen Jama Masjid from outside ? It yes, then i highly recommend a visit. Entry is free and and you pay Rs 30/- if you go for the tower view- a bird’s eye view from top of one of the Minarets.
